Who we are

Formosa AI is a Melbourne, Australia business (ABN 74 950 152 951) run by Zeal Hsu. We build AI automation for Australian small and medium-sized businesses, including addEASE, the AI booking assistant that answers the chat on this site.

What this site collects

• The contact form: your name, email and message. It's delivered to our email via Formspree, a form-handling service.
• The chat (addEASE): what you type in the conversation, and any booking details you choose to give it. That's how it can answer you and book a time.
• Hosting logs: the site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard technical request logs, as almost every website's host does.
• Nothing else. This site sets no advertising or analytics trackers. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.

Where your data lives

Your chat data, meaning conversations, bookings and client records, is stored in Australia (Sydney region).

Some AI processing happens overseas: when the assistant generates a reply, the text of the conversation is processed by large-language-model providers whose services run outside Australia. We're happy to walk you through exactly what goes where. Just ask.

Email lives in our business email service (Google Workspace).

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and conversations while we might still be talking, so we can pick up where you left off. Client records stay for as long as we're working together.

Want something gone sooner? Email us and we'll delete what you ask us to, and confirm when it's done.

Your rights, and who to ask

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@formosaai.com.au and a person will answer.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, tell us first and we'll try to fix it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Our brand, and staying safe from impersonation

Formosa AI, addEASE, our seed mark and our wordmarks are our brand. They may not be copied, imitated or used without our written permission, and they may never be used to pass someone else off as us.

We only operate from formosaai.com.au and addease.com.au, and we only email from those domains, such as hello@formosaai.com.au. We will never contact you from a personal address, ask for gift cards or cryptocurrency, or pressure you into paying an invoice you weren't expecting.

If someone uses our name, logo or product names to sell, invoice or collect your details, that is not us. Forward whatever you received to hello@formosaai.com.au. We'll confirm quickly, and we act on misuse of our brand.
